Last hardware scan date after LDMS 9.6 SP1 upgrade

    Rookie

      Hello,

After updating our core and remote consoles from 9.6 to 9.6 SP1, all of the devices have stopped reporting their last hardware scan date. Patch and Vuln scans still appear to work and the devices are able to be remote controlled. If we force a scan from the console or from the endpoint, some of them report back with a current date but most (meaning ~70%) do not.

Server and endpoints have been rebooted since the SP1 was applied.

Check the event viewer for inventory service errors and also \ldscan\errorscan. You are probably getting scans rejected for whatever reason. If you have no errors, try bouncing the inventory service. Since applying SP1, it seems like every time I patch/reboot my database server, the inventory service will not reconnect until I manually restart it. No scans will process until I do.
