If you use a Gateway (LANDESK CSA), you need to add in the agent setting "Remote Control" used by the LD agent installed on your client. And you need to do a remote control through "Remote control via management gateway" proposed in the menu when right clicking the machine in the LDMS Console.
Of course, you can also change the security settings in your Remote Control Agent Settings.
You have also some articles about this topic;
Also; "When creating a remote control package, make sure in Security settings that you select either Local template or Windows NT security. The CSA doesn't support Integrated security."

Thank you. I get it, that clients who are 'out-of-band' can be remote controlled and this works great in our environment. My question specifically is if the 'Remote Control Viewer' can also be used out-of-band.
ie: An on-call support tech receives an after-hours call for support while they are at home. Can they open the Remote Control Viewer while off the corporate network, and still establish a connection to the CSA & a remote session?

Indeed, someone having a console on his computer working from home can open RC Viewer from his LDMS Console and remotely connect to a machine which is in the Corporate Network. CSA allows that indeed.
Hopefully, it answered your question.
Thank you Sebastien. Per Landesk Support, this is possible but while troubleshooting my setup they discovered a bug that was preventing this from working in my environment. Working with Landesk Support now to resolve it.
The CSA has no problems at all using Integrated Security under normal circumstances, the only issues is for the on-demand. I set this and use it all of the time. DO NOT use Local Template security in your standard agent as that lets anyone attempt to control with the only security level being permission. NT Security can be useful for other reasons, but Integrated is the standard and works absolutely fine.
