    LANDesk & Symantec Endpoint Protection


      I'm having issues with the interaction between LANDesk & Symantec Cloud Endpoint Protection.


      LANDesk sends out a series of pings to enable it to do device discovery.  These pings return information about OS, Computer Name, etc.  I have also determined the Symantec Smart Firewall is the one that is blocking this from occurring.  I added the server that is doing the scanning to the firewall rules to allow all inbound & outbound communication from any ports from the server.  However, the firewall is still blocking some of these processes.


      What would you recommend the next course of action to be?  I need to be able to deploy this application agent without having to disable the firewall company wide.
