Can you manually map to the share from the laptop? I am guessing that the Preferred Server configuration for the share is correct since your VM as well as other machines work.
Should have checked that but as the logs said mapped drive OK assumed it would be! Anyway it gets weirder (for me anyway)
\\IPADDRESS is OK
\\DNSNAME is OK
\\HOSTNAME fails (Not accessible "Logon Failure: The target account names is incorrect")
But it only fails currently on this laptop as on other machines it seems OK? I will google away!
OK the PC in question is not in the domain! Even though the "Join Domain" stated successful it clearly did not complete correctly. I have removed from LANDesk completely and rill rerun to see what happens.
We just upgraded to 9.6 and started testing our templates. We are pretty sure that our core needs to be a source (and replicated to nothing). We had the same issue and this fixed it. Good luck.
That was all set up thanks.
The device was still in LANDesk so when it was being rebuilt was given the old computer name but some reason this was not joining the domain correctly which was causing the problem. I removed form LANDesk so when it was rebuilt it got given a new name which then joined the domain OK and all worked as expected. Maybe there was a corrupt AD object or something!
