    Error by deploy image via DOS PE

    Rookie

      Hi,

      i´ve a problem with the image of our dell pcs.

      We ´ve a ghostimage for the standard-clients and deploy the image via DOS PE.

      it works for a long time, but today the client boots.. connect to the pxe and start the ghost-screen.

      But the deployment doesnt start.

      the logfile of the core looks like that

          At a guess, it's because Ghost isn't able to talk to the hard-drive.

          See if you can address the hard-drive (or even see it) via FDISK or anything like that.

          NOTE - you can break out of a script at a point you want by adding the following line:

          REMEXEC1000=command

          You most likely should try going into the BIOS and setting the HDD controller to run in "compatibility" or "legacy" mode (since you can't load SATA drivers in DOS). If your BIOS doesn't offer you such an option, you'll have to go WinPE (with the storage driver added) or Linux (the same).

          There's a couple of articles on how to add drivers, search for them - they should give you a few good leads on where to start :).

            Hi Paul,

            thanks... thats it

            i´ve to change the bios-settings for SATA and PATA

            SATA 0 -> on

            SATA 1 -> off

            PATA 0-> on

            PATA 1-> off

            and it works.

            Thanks a lot.

            best regards
