    VBS message boxes.

I am pushing out a VB script to do an install, the script should popup a message box telling the user to close the old version of the application before the new one installs.

After trying a WSH and Batch (using a batch file to call the VBS) package neither of them give me the popup? Can it be done? If so what am I missing?

If you are on 9.6+ you should look at creating a custom Distribution and Patch setting that contains:

This will then use the defined "User message" as a popup prior to installing your software.

So you can put your message there - instead of using a vbscript popup.

You then in your scheduled task select the Agent Setting to be used - which would be the one you created that includes the above.

          Hope this helps,
