We run into this also, but restarting iis resolved it for us...we just have to keep resetting IIS.
We are working with LANDESK engineering to see why.

we have encountered the same problem. Please open a case and reference suggestion# 346488. We have a case already open but the more customers nag LD about this problem, the higher priority it will get in order to have the problem resolved.

have multiple support calls about it for some months with no result, only way to stop them is cancel the task, than remove the active computer.
We have had multiple customers reporting this behavior, and this is a known issue. In each case we have found varying reasons for the failure to set the task status correctly and so we are working on some improvements to correct the issue. In the mean time I recommend contacting LANDESK Support so that we can help you resolve the issue, and also as pointed out above, the more we understand the scope of the impact it is having the more pressure (i.e fuel) we have to push for fixes as soon as possible.
