    Chained Packages & Notifications

    Apprentice

We have a couple of packages that we are deploying using Pre-requisites to chain them together in the correct order. What I would like to be able to do is to notify the users when all of the packages have been deployed, rather than the current situation where it either doesn't display any notifications or displays a notification for each package and the overall deployment job.

Is there any way to achieve this without changing the deployment mechanism? Or is there a better way to chain packages?

      Thanks.

Well - you could always install "the very last" package with via a BATCH-file, and then have the batch-file run a simple VB-script or whatever (Net SEND, at a push) to tell the user that "he's done".

          Simple and mobile solution :).

Would be worth while logging an enhancement request for this too, I'd think.
