    LDMS 9.6 Rollup with DA

    germanl Apprentice

Is anyone using a LDMS 9.6 SP2 rollup core with DA 9.6? If so, I would be interested to know if they have been successful with replication or any issues they may have had.

We are currently running LDMS 9.6 SP2 with DA 9.6 SP2 on our rollup core and trying to replicate 4 other child cores ranging from 9.5 SP2 to 9.6 SP2, all with DA 9.6 SP2

We have been working with support for over a month trying to get things to work properly or even finish a complete replication.

Any feedback from a successful setup would be great.

      Thanks

Are you using database clusters? There are currently issues when replicating from SQL clusters to a roll-up database.

We are not using SQL clusters. Single instance for each DB.

              Hi,

I've also seen a case where the Inventoried Vendor for Managed Planet products is NULL (empty) while the RollUp core accepts no NULL's in this attribute.

You can fix this by running the following SQL query on the databases that need to be rolled up (as always, although this is a harmless query, please make sure you have a proper backup of your DB before running this):

              with MP (ManID) as

              (

              select SLM_Manufacturer_Idn from SLM_Manufacturer where name = 'LANDesk(R) Software'

              )

              update product

              set Manufacturer_Idn = ManID, Orig_Manufacturer_Idn = ManID

              from MP

              where Manufacturer_Idn is null

We have been working with the developers over the last few months and they were able to correct a number of issues that have resolved most of the replication problems. There are still a couple things they are working on, but for the most part it is looking better.

                Thanks,
