When you export query results, any paragraph in the text from a string attribute I believe will be looked on a belonging to a new cell in excel. This is how excel would read the result.
We do have one problem logged where quotation marks aren't being properly handled when export. This has been given problem number: 5908 - "Quotation marks are not properly handled when Console query results are exported to CSV"
If you have text with quotes in a multi line description, the extra quotes break the formatting, and the description text is split into different cells, causing other attributes to appear in the wrong columns.
If you are experiencing this problem, then I would suggest to log this with your Support Provider and quote Problem 5908.
did you solve your issue?
We are encountering the same one?
Hi I could not resolve it in console, however if i try to download the report as csv on web desk, it works fine
Thank you for your reply, unfortunately we have the issue also in web desk.
I am experiencing the issue in Web Desk too - does anyone have a fix for it in Web Desk?
I noticed that this happens in our 7.7.3 version but in our 2016.2 version (we're in the middle of an upgrade) it looks to be corrected. Yay!
What version are you on?
