Scan Handler: Removing specified string from the start of a barcode

    Rookie

      Help please!

I have a barcode that when I scan the bar code, it captures this: 2P%F%FA

I need to remove this: 2P%F%F

I need to capure it only like this ;;A

So looks like it needs to insert this ;; just before the A

Again: at the end I need to have this result  ;;A

Any help will be very appreciate.

      Thanks in advance.

      Manuel.

We would be happy to help.

Scan handler is definitely what we will nee to take care of this. I can give you a way to remove that, but you might have to doctor it around to accommodate any other bar-codes you have.

The first letter, specifies the symbology. I use A for any type

          A

The character within the parenthesis is to specify which length of barcode this will handle. I use 0, this allows us to process any length

          (0)

Within the braces is a string match. This helps us keep this specific scan handler from getting into other barcodes

          {2P%F%F}

Within the brackets we will specify what we want to do with the data. In this case, I think it would be best to use Translate (X) So, we are going to Translate 2P%F%F into two semi-colons

          [X2P%F%F;\\3B\\3B]

          And all together we get

          A(0){0,2P%F%F}[X2P%F%F;\\3B\\3B]
