the normal way to edit a calculation used in a precondition in a process is:
1. Remove the precondition from all processes where it is used in.
2. Reopen process designer, just to make sure nothing is cached.
3. Go to Properties and find your precondition, edit it, save it
4. Readd the condition in every process where it was previously used.
Thanks, issue I am having is step 3. Properties of what? what object do i go to the properties of?
Sorry, my fault, not Properties, I meant Business Objects.
But from the beginning:
Process Designer --> Business Objects --> Your Module, for example Incident Management --> Your Object, for example Incident --> Conditions.
There you should find you precondition and you will be able to edit it, after removed from all processes.
But sometimes a pictures explains better than words
Hope that helps.
Thanks pictures helped. all sorted.
Just as a toss in...
This method is also our default method, but there are times in which removing it, editing, then reading it is too much of a hassle. An alternative would be just to create a new one and replace the original.
