There's a number of environment variables that are temporarily available when a task runs on a devices - %LD_CLIENT_DIR% is one of them and it points to the location of the LDClient folder, i.e. "C:\Program Files (x86)\LANDesk\LDClient".
Others are i.e. %TASK_ID%, %TASK_NAME% and %TMC_CACHE_DIR%
If you want to see the full list, then you can create a simple batch file package that executes the following command - SET > %WINDIR%\TEMP\ENVVAR.txt - and then run that on a device. The textfile will then contain all the environment variables available at the time the task runs.
The issue I'm having, though, is the error when I attempt to runt he Inventory Scan script.
The script has the line at the beginning ";--- assumes that ldappl3.ini is in same dir as the .exe". When I look up the location of the .exe, it is at the root of the LDClient folder. So I am assuming this is what is causing the scan to error out when I run the script.
Has anyone else seen the same error? Is there a way to correct or get around this?
That helped! I had one more adjustment to make for the 64-bit version of the OS, but it worked!
Thanks for the link to that document!
