Thanks for posting!
You could also use a simple Powershell Script to Deploy by iso file
$scriptPath = split-path -parent $MyInvocation.MyCommand.Definition
$unattend = """" + $scriptPath + "\unattend.xml" + """"
$mount = Mount-DiskImage -ImagePath ($scriptpath + "\SW_DVD5_Win_Pro_10_1511_64BIT_German_MLF_X20-82428.ISO") -PassThru
$driveLetter = ($mount | Get-Volume).DriveLetter
$setup = $driveLetter + ":\setup.exe"
$param = "/Auto:Upgrade /Unattend:$unattend /DynamicUpdate Disable"
Start-Process -FilePath $setup -WorkingDirectory ($driveLetter + ":\") -ArgumentList $param
We use this to Upgrade our Windows 10 installations to the next Major Upgrade (1511).
Do you mind if I convert it to a Document, so people will be able to find it easier?
Sure thing, go ahead.
we could also add a custom definition to deploy windows 10 upgrades throw patchmanager.
Hi Frank, can you please upload the document.. as unable to understand the method to use the script given by Marcel.
Can we push the PowerShell script via group policy , keeping the ISO in shared path and then upgrade.
The Idea is to create a custom patch definition to upgrade your win installation. For this you have to point the patch location to the iso and then create a patch install command script.
