    OneTouch Install failure

    jasoncadman Expert

      Hi

I thought that this would be worth a mention in case anyone has the same problem with a OneTouch install

After creating the package and installing successfully on all machines except one. I received the error below in the log file:

"Unable to install this application because an application with the same identity is already installed. To install this application, either modify the manifest version for this application or uninstall the preexisting application."

The problem was that I had created a package with the same name as previous test package and although this wasn't used on an other machine it was on this one. In order to get it to install i had to remove the pre-existing installation directories from

      C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0

      and also run this

      rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache

      in a cmd prompt

      HTH
