Install data model connectors for both LDMS and Service Desk

LANDesk customers are likely to want to use Xtraction to connect to both LDMS and Service Desk.  How do you install two data models when the install only allows you to pick a single one?

In my experience you pay someone to produce a data model that has both in I'm afraid.  Also if you want a customer who has a shared services model with (say) 3 different installs of LDSD you need the supplier to put that in place.

            Hi Waldy,

At the moment, the installer only allows creating a data model based on one adapter from the list.  The problem, of course, is not being able to select multiple adapters and not all available adapters are in that list.  There will be some changes in a future release that will address this issue.

In the meantime, if you use both LDMS and LDSD, or have purchased additional adapters for 3rd party products, we can easily provide you with an updated data model that contains the various adapters.  Just open a support case requesting the additional adapters that need to be added and include your data model file and we will do the rest.  Be sure to attach a copy of our existing data model file and we will add the other adapters to it.

And there is no charge for this.  You've already purchased the adapters, so we aren't going to charge you again just to put them in your data model file.

Be sure to ask for the Xtraction adapter while you are at it.  That way, you can use Xtraction to report on Xtraction!
