    System Restore issues with LANDesk EndPoint security 9.6 SP2




      We are making use of LANDesk Endpoint security to record USB
      key activities, and have found that the software interferes with Microsoft
      System Restores ability function normally after a failed Windows update
      installation. Once System Restore no longer functions properly the workstation
      doesn’t shutdown. To resolve the problem Endpoint security has to be
      uninstalled, System Restore will start to function normally, and it is then
      disabled. As part of our imaging process system restore is disabled, and a
      VBscript deployed through LANDesk to disable this feature for the rest of our
      workstations. Checking to see if anyone else has run into this problem – is
      this a known issue being worked on?
