I recently upgraded from LANDesk 9.5 to version 2016. I'm having trouble figuring out how to use the Portal Manager since it seems to be the replacement for the old Desktop Manger Program in 9.5. With the old 9.5 Desktop Manager, I listed several pre-approved Applications that I allowed end users to freely install at their own convenience. However, with the new Portal Manager in 2016, I can't seem to have any of the programs' installers to run. I've gotten the program to be listed as available, and I've hit the "Launch" button. It successfully downloads the program but just gives me the message that it was installed successfully when it hasn't been like shown below. Is this a bug or is this not the way to list programs for installation anymore?
One more issue related to the Portal Manager. I've been trying to deploy URL Links like how we used to use the the Link Launchpad in previous version. I've been able to deploy the links but the icons are blank no matter what images I choose int he package logo. Any suggestions?
