    AV install for Mac

    jdaugherty Apprentice

I have been using a Mac for a couple weeks now. I had to buy one to manage our iPads. I have never used one before. I  ran the Mac agent install and everything went well, except the antivirus did not install. Is there a Terminal command I can use to install it? With Windows it was vulscan /installav /show ui, is there something similar for a Mac?

Using LANDesk 2016, OS X El Capitan 10.11.4

      Thank you,

      Joshua

          Joshua,

Yes there is you can run:

          sudo /Library/Application\ Support/LANDesk/bin/ldinstallav /installav /ob:MacAVBehavior=-1

Alternatively you can create an AV deployment task from the Console.

The problem ended up being that I needed a patch loaded to include AV support for the latest version of El Capitan. I had to contact support and they emailed me a link to download it.

Thank you Bryce, that is exactly what I was looking for. It would not have worked since I did not have the patch, but it is exactly what I asked for =).
