How do you have your preferred servers set up in Tools > Distribution -> Content Replication (may be slight different for 9.6)? Your preferred servers will be handled exactly as the server name suggests (so if it's listed as http://servername.fqdn, it will attempt to map to http://servername.fqdn).
This may be by design, especially if you're trying to use the gateway to reach your preferred servers. Ours are set up to only be used on the LAN.
Let me know how it works out. I'm not sure why it's trying to drive you to http
I have exactly the same problem.
MaptoPreferredHandler_x64.exe:Could not map or unmap drive. Error code: 100001
Laszlo did you find a solution for this problem or should i consult the landesk support, too?
Not exactly. Ivanti support could not figure it out either. I just happened to be creating a new Win10 Image which did not have the issue. Haven't encountered this error since. You may want to try a new image (bare) as a test.
One document you could look at is this: Failed at action Map/Unmap drive to preferred server
Or these might help: Error: "Could Not Map or unmap drive. Error code: 2250" in maptopreferredhandler.log during provisioning at the bottom are other articles.
Last article used if corename changed and migrated WINPE: Error: "resolving core server name (%mycoreserver%)" when booting into WinPE
