Are you using a MAK activation or KMS activation?
Hi Joe, thanks for the quick response to be perfectly honest I am not sure.
This is off the back of a clean install. so I may well have missing configuration.
We have had the process not work if the key is for the wrong platform. Here is what we ran into; if you try to install a Win7 pro key on a Win7 Ultimate it will not activate. Most Win 7 keys are only for the product that you are trying to use it on. Win 7 pro for a Win 7 pro computer and so on. The keys are not interchangeable.
We use a MAK and not KMS keys.
Does your unattend.xml have:
oobeSystem | Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup | FirstLogonCommands > CommandLine: cscript //b c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs /ato
No we do not have that in our unattend. We have been letting Windows activate itself and not use the slmgr.vbs. Windows usually activates itself pretty fast after it logs in.
