MC3200; Customer trying Manually Add a Telnet Client License but it fails.

    Rookie

      Hi there

A client has bought a Wavelink 2-i-1 client generic licens

and when he's trying to insert his licens via the "Manually Add a Telnet Client License" guide you have in your Authorization Instructions.

but then the client is met with the picture below.

Any of you got any suggestions?

      regards

Hey lehdelfi thanks for your question.

The reason your device is getting this message is because it doesn't have the correct license added to it for the session you are using.

          For example:

In the host profile you may have a VT220 session configured, but your license is for IBMHOST (IBMHOST is not VT).

The other reason this could be happening is that you've configured the IP address of the emulation license server and it cannot reach that address. Here is an article I wrote on that subject: How to set up the Emulation License Server

You need to make sure of the following:

          1. The license you added matches the emulation in the host profile OR
          2. That your device can see emulation license server

Please let me know if this helps you

          Cheers,
