Few things to check - is the EM agent installed, licensed and EM configuration installed. The gotcha that can catch you out with EM is if it is not licensed (check the event log to verify). Also check in task manager. You should see the EM processes EMsystem core and user running. Also check the user virtualization service is running. Also apply a basic EM config to do something like open notepad (using a custom action) under the desktop created trigger, simplify etc..
Also before you go down this road too far, keep in mind PVD is going end of life now with the Unidesk acquisition in favor of elastic layering.
I just assumed it would be the AppDisk pieces going away... but I'm all still new with this.
The EM agent is installed, it is licensed via trail. Services appear to be running. Processes checked out OK. I'm just trying to have a folder called TestABC created on user logon. It works on a static VM, but not when I layer in PVDs.
