You may want to check your Windows Update policy settings.
Alternatively -- maybe your user just ran Windows Update themselves & decided to patch things "up front" (without your approval, as it were).
It's a problem that's often seen in the MAC-side of things, since "a lot of WIndows end-users never patch" as it were, but you can occasionally see such things happening. Or one of your AD guys just changed the GPO on Windows Update settings (intentionally or not -- could've been changed "by default" for instance).
Since it's not LANDesk that's doing it, finding logs for "why did this happen" willl be a bit tricky .
But start with Windows Update (as a likely candidate) and go from there?
