Some light reading on ISO creation.
Intel and LANDesk are also running some roadshows, might want to see if there are any local to you.
I have read all the sites you pointed me to. I am an avid PE and X-PE 'user' and I guess my question was "how do I " -OR - "what do I need to do " to create a PE or X-PE ISO SPECIFIC TO LANDesk that will first do a SOL and then go right to GUI like explained in Brett Twiggs' video?
Did anybody try it?
Easiest way looks like buying Lenova, since they baked the LANDesk RC into PE However, If you are like me then that is not a possibility. Booting off any PE ISO is not that hard, the tricky part is how to control PE once it is booted. So we know the new version 8.8 can be baked into PE (It has to work since Brett is smiling in the video), the question is how to do it outside of Lenova. Eric was the user who wrote the whitepaper on how to do it in 8.7 and I believe he mentioned he is working on a way to do it in 8.8, I am contiplating trying to figure this out myself, however, I have to ask LANDesk if they have this in the works. I hate working on something and then, BAM, it is in the product - LOL.
I'm going to one of those LANDesk/VPro road shows this month and I will try and pin them down. One thing off the top of my pointy little head is going to be trying to use the on demand RC agent from the LDMG to see if it can work as is, or slightly hacked to work under PE.
