Inventory Scan - "Unable To Open Database File" Error

We've recently installed the server agent on a bunch of our servers. We are seeing the following in the ldiscn32.log:

On our core, we do not see any scans in the error scan folders, and the machine does show up in the inventory. However, the last scan time is not updating. I've tried running the scan with /F /SYNC, but it doesn't seem to actually be running a full inventory, as it runs through the scan quickly, then just stops and the window disappears. Any suggestions? What database is it looking for? There are no errors in the application log on the core. I am at a loss on where to look next...

I can get to the core's web address in IE.

      I can telnet to CORE:5700
