we have something similar to this going on w/ a couple of machines 2-3 that we know of/1500.
Policy.client.invoker runs every couple of seconds indefinitely.
running 8.8 "sp2a".
I've had similar problems with LDISCN32.EXE way back.
Reason for that was Intel Local Scheduler Service didn't have a filter to only run the task once per day.
Thus is was running every time service checked for new jobs (which by default is every 15 seconds).
Worth checking I guess.
Run %programfiles%\LANDesk\LDclient\LocalSch.exe /tasks | more and check the frequency field for all jobs.
Or just stop the Intel Local Scheduler Service and see if problem stops.
Not a fix, but at least it might be the root cause
also, sp3 might just fix it?
I have a similar issue
the process is always present in Task manager. Is this normal?
The process does jump around a little but it also seems to use the hard disk quite a bit all the time.
I am on the 8.8SP2 version
Not sure if this is normal behaviour or not.
we even stopped the SCHEDULER SERVICE and POLICY.CLIENT.INVOKER..still shows up every 3 seconds.. not sure what it's doing but it picked the cfo's machine to do it on! - of course
