office resource kit
Ok. but how about the other packages eg adobe photoshop. ? etc that need cd keys
There is no single way that will work with all installations. Pushing silently depends on each software vendor. For example, Office requires you to create an MST file, Adobe requires an XML file, others will allow you to use INI files. It's best to consult with the software vendor for 'silent' or 'unattended' ways to install their application(s). Once you create the required MSTs, INIs, XMLs, then you can use LANDesk to distribute throughout your envionment (the LD distribution package has a Install/Uninstall Options section that will allow you to specify additional commands and/or files to perform your silent install)
Here's the info for Adobe: http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/pdfs/cs2_silent_install.pdf
A really useful source of information is the AppDeploy website http://www.appdeploy.com
This has a package knowledgebase that the community contributes to and can give you advice on how to approach an installation for different kinds of tools and apps.
