Deploying virtualized .MSI package for application stored on network share

I am looking for some easy way to add start menu shortcuts and set up file associations for virtualized application without having to go to windows registry and doing it manually. Enabling .msi in Package.ini doesn't really do what I need as during the build process it adds whole virtualized app into the .msi file and when it is launched on client PC it installs all app files on C drive.

What I really want to do is just create some .msi that will add start menu shortcuts and files associations pointing to virtualized app sitting on a network share. What am I doing wrong here?
