Hi hope your doing well.:)
Here is my suggestion.
Write or find a VBScript that will go through the SIDs list found under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList that shows all of the user profiles on a machine and have it format and put that information into a registry key under HKLM.(View: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/resources/qanda/jun05/hey0603.mspx)
Using Software Distribution in Landesk to distribute the VBScript.
Use this document to pull this registry info into inventory http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-3064
csalisbury raises some good points. However, depending on your computer usage patterns pertaining to multiple users, this may pose a lot of problems. Say you are like us and have machines with 200+ profiles? I believe the max that LANDesk field size for metadata is 255ish. So you would have to create numerouse registry keys making it hard to report on. Dump the data in a file and suck it into LANDesk does not really offer any good solutions. So it is a tough nut to crack. Grabbinf the data as csalisbury indicates is not the hard part, but getting it into LANDesk in any usable format is a PITA.
Wow zman, 200+ profiles?? Woo!
