          Not really.

Inventory is software.  So if your OS knows, we could possibly find out, however, I am not sure we are doing it currently.  However, half the time the OS doesn't know what LCD is it using and uses a generic lcd driver.

What you are looking for is Asset Lifecycle Management, or ALM.  Where you can track your PC, your monitor, and any periphereals, and then tie them together and document who owns them, so you can track them.

Give Asset Lifecycle Managment a look over.

Monitor information is collected in the inventory (Video | Monitors | Monitor). If the information being returned is somewhat sparse, then I've found loading the appropriate drivers for the monitor will return more information.  The type can usually be determined by the Model attribute.

I did a scan on a box that is a laptop that has an LCD as the second monitor and it is using the correct driver and everything, and I go the following in the scan:

              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:0) - Model = Default Monitor
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:0) - Manufacturer = Default Monitor
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:1) - Model = DELL 2208WFP
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:1) - Manufacturer = DEL
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:1) - Serial Number = H069H8A525KM
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:1) - Size = 22.3 inch
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:1) - Manufacturing Year = 2008
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:1) - Manufacturing Week = 41
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:1) - Vendor ID = DEL
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:2) - Model = ThinkPad Display 1920x1200
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:2) - Manufacturer = LP154WU1-TLB1
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:2) - Serial Number = 0
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:2) - Size = 15.6 inch
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:2) - Manufacturing Year = 2007
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:2) - Manufacturing Week = 00
              Video - Monitors - Monitor - (Number:2) - Vendor ID = LEN

So it looks like we do more than I thought originally.

Yep, without the appropriate driver the model will display Plug and Play Monitor. With drivers you have a chance:

                Model = DELL 2208WFP

I'm guessing FP is flat panel.
