    LanDesk Software Deployment portal to work with installing the Office 2007 suite (8.8)

      Hi,

       

      Can anyone tell me if wecan get the LanDesk Software Deployment portal to work with installing the Office 2007 suite.  In 8.7, we had a version working that we need to get working in 8.8

          Nothing should really change - distribution package, delivery methods, etc... should work between 8.7 and 8.8. If it worked in 8.7 it should work in 8.8, just the portal screen UI will look different.

            You obviously tried this with no success.  Can you be more specific as to the problem you are seeing?

              Sorry for the delayed response. Please find the error attached. The files are not found in the cache too.

                Does your delivery method use Run From Source or Download from Source? If download, are all additional files still configured in the Office2007 distribution package?

                  This looks more along the lines that the package was not built properly.  Here is a step by step doc to deploy Office 2007.

                    Hi All,

                     

                    I tried the steps mentioned in the link. But it failed. When I deploy the package, it shows as procseeing but takes a long time to proceed. When I get back to it the next morning, I see that some files are downloaded but none of the applications are downloaded. In landesk the status shows "delayed" and that the policy has been advertised in the portal.

                     

                    Please let me know how to proceed
