could you tell us a bit more about your infrastructure?
- LANDesk version?
- Server OS version and language?
- Local installed Management Console or started from core?
- Do you use a german console or is your core installed in german language?
- .net language?
- . . .
Version: 126.96.36.199 with SP2a
ServerOS: MS Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 German
Local installed Management Console
Console is used in english
what's really strange, I just connected to the core Server remote and on the core I got a german version, and when I try to view as a report, it works, so it only works with the console
I've had several mysterious errors and wrong query results as I mixed the languages... (core/server OS english, local console german)
Since then, we install all consoles in english language (no german or french console).
The servers are english versions only (no german...)
What's happen if you install the german console on your client? (on core I think the german version is started...)
Well how do I install the german console is there a different setup for it?
Sorry, I can't check installation procedure for 8.8 currently (test system is killed).
Hopefully the installation is the same in 8.8 as in 8.7, the installation procedure for all languages is the same:
If you don't get the dialog to change the language, you can change the setup.ini languaga entry:
. . .
Change the value of default from 409 to 407. (we set it to english, so no one can install other than english!)
The installation shortcut is/was stored here: \\your_core_server_name\ldmain\Install\Console
The installation setup.exe/.ini file is/was stored here: \\your_core_server_name\ldmain\Install\Media
Am I right that on your core the german console is installed?
It seems that it is not the same in 8.8.
Didn't find any of these files in the ldmain directory

Mmh, ok for 8.8, you'll find it here: \\server\share\landesk\setup.exe (I found it in LDMSDeploy.pdf...)
/v"/q CORESERVER=[YourCoreServerName] CONSOLE_ONLY=1 SILENT_INSTALL=1 LDINSTALLTYPE=2 LDLANG=ENU"
LDLANG options are CHS (Chinese Simplified), CHT (Chinese Traditional), DEU (German), ENU (English), ESP (Spanish), FRA (French), JPN (Japanese), KOR (Korean), PTB (Portuguese), and RUS (Russian).
thanks a lot i just edited the conf file of the setup.exe and turned the language now it works
