The thing is, the items in 3rd party content are not provided by LANrev directly. They outsource that to another company (though that company is also owned by HEAT). So them adding LANrev, would also mean other vendors (Kace, etc) would see LANrev Admin. Not only that, but the version needs to match the server version which I don't think 3rd party patching can really account for that.
I think it would make more sense for the admin console to be included in normal software distribution like the agent is. That way the versions are always correct.
The 2nd point above from Patrick is very important. The admin console version has to match the server version or else you get a DB schema mismatch. Unlike the agent where you should never roll your own agent updaters, it's perfectly fine for you to create your own admin console updater packages and add installation conditions to ensure that it only installs on devices with older versions of the admin console.

Package it and add it. I do it with every new version.
