Try date functions like DiffHours() or DiffMinutes(). Ex. DiffHours(startDateTime, endDateTime, timeZone)
Timezone is optional and it returns number value.
Thank you Vivek, but the DiffHours function is not recognized in the Heat version I am using.
We have a field for Start, one for Engagement, one for Resolution, and another for Duration.
Each of these fields have a date and time, but are manually entered rather than automatically entered.
I guess my issue here is trying to have the PIE Chart display those that have Met and those that have Breached (based on the duration), rather than being displayed as each duration, on the same chart.
I would like to know a little bit more on how I can use this function within my query for example in incident object.
Would it be possible to show this as a result of the query? I believe I will need a new column created for that purpose.
Preferably, I would like to see the column with result of calculation based on DiffMinutes(startDateTime, endDateTime, timeZone) that will show the value between CreatedDateTime and consecutive status change.
Please kindly let me know, this will be useful!
I am not sure about HEAT version you are using. However, if you have date functions available to use in any expression then add a new field which displays the difference in mins.
If you are using dashboard with Pie chart and only needs to show breached incidents, then group your chart with the new field (diff in mins) for breached incidents.
If you are using dashboard with table, then one of the columns/field should be the new field (diff in mins)
Thank you for quick reply Vivek!
Heat version: 2015.2.2.13858
Will you be able to suggest steps in order to:
- create the field
- how and where to to store the expression

If this is for Incident, then you would create field in Incident. You may display it on admin form of incident to see the values for testing purpose. or else you can directly use this field in your dashboard. Below is the pic, I added SLA field on the form which has visibility expression (next to it in Edit expression). This will show you difference in mins for that specific incident. And use this field in dashboard to group.
Oops, I got confused, assuming I was replying to Paul's requirement for dashboard. So Mariusz, please ignore dashboard comments and I hope remaining comments were helpful to you. Enjoy your weekend...
