    Modify Options in Category Field


      We are looking to adjust or remove some of the options under ‘Category’ (currently, the option selected in ‘Service’ drives the options available under ‘Category’).


      When we unlink the option from CI Service (Network Service>Tab: Service Desk Category> Option: Capacity), the option disappears from ‘Category’, but any incidents created prior to the removal are also affected. When Viewing an older ticket the option will still show in Category, but we are unable to save it because the removed option isn’t listed as an option, the whole field would highlight in read.


      Is there a way to unlink the option from Category without impacting tickets that were created prior to making the change?
