If you get the full log from the opsconsole folder on the application server there may be more information in there.

I have checked the logs subfolder in the Ops Console folder in the app server but is empty.
Note that I am attempting to assign my Project to a Package from the "Heat Development Project" page in Admin UI as shwon below and not from the Ops Console.
Not sure if I'm looking in the right place. If no, could you please direct me to the right place to search?
My bad, please look at the appserver log and configuration logs in the standard log folders. 500 error is an internal error, something possibly not configured correctly.
For this I would contact support, they are better placed to remote to you to review the issue.
I have already contacted them and they also told me to provide them with ops console log file. I will hear what they have to say since this log file is not there.
I already had a look at the appserver and config log files and didn't see anything.
