I think I would first like to find out why you want to use a custom script to do this. If you have some flexibility, I would encourage you to use the built-in VBScript support that was introduced for distribution packages in versions 8.7SP5 and 8.8SP2. That would be the easiest way.
Alternatively, another proven method, is what rhyous proposes in this article (HINT: look at the batch file he's creating in Step 2).
If you have problems executing it sraight from the server, try copying the file down to the local pc and execute it locally.
I had an issue one time when trying to remote execute a vbs script from the server share it actually tried to run on the server vs the PC.
Prior to 8.8 this is what I did for VBS pushes that I didn't want to do through MS GP.
REMCOPY1=\\servershare\Sample.vbs, c:\Progra~1\LANDesk\ldclient\sdmcache\VBS\Sample.vbs, TOREMOTE
Fran W's solution is what I needed, the reason I want to use scripts is we have a base image on top of that some departments get a lot of inhouse apps and the inhouse apps are bladly written, so after the inhouse apps are installed we need to manually update the environment path and copy some files to the workstation, I'm just trying to automate this process.
Thanks to everybody for your help.
