I've just created a set of working images from a Dell Optiplex 755. When older Optiplex devices are imaged, the OS hangs indefinitelly after Windows minisetup. If the machine is manually rebooted again, it will boot after a long period of time (~5 min) before the mouse and keyboard are detected.
it could be helpful to know which LANDesk version (+SP) you use, if you use imaging with Windows PE or DOS or LinuxPE, etc. ...
- Does the XP boot takes a long time or does the time after logon to see the desktop takes a long time?
- Do you find a running LANDesk agent after your machine is started successfully?
- Do you use provisioning?
We are using LD 8.8 sp2a;
There are no running LD agents in the newly installed image (http://community.landesk.com/support/message/23032#23032)
We do not use provisioning (though we should).
I believe the issue stems from the newer hardware found in the Optiplex755.
