Are you sure it is not installed? This line in the log makes it seem like it should be:

          Wed Apr 22 12:49:38 2009 [01037] sdclient : execute: '/usr/sbin/installer -allow -pkg '/Library/Application Support/LANDesk/sdcache/Office Installer.mpkg' -target "/"' result=0

The installed application would be here:
          /Applications/Microsoft Office 2008
The application would not necessarily appear in the Dock automatically.

Have you applied the latest Mac rollup patch? Security & Patch Manager > download updates > LANDesk Updates, then apply LD-88-Mac-Rollup-03-09 to your core, rebuild the mac agent, and deploy it to the clients.

I'd check the installer log file and see what it says:

                /private/var/log/install.log

You might also try manually installing the mpkg via the command line on a machine to see what happens.

                  Hey gus,

after i installed the the patch you recommend me, the office appears but the application icons are white and with the stop sign. There is something wrong with the rights. After i insert the administrator and give him read and write rights the apllication can be started.

If i try to start for example word before i change the rights i recieve an error, the application is not supported this os.

I think something go wront at decompressing, because if i copy the file by mayself and unpack them on mac desktop i can start all the application.

Do you have an idea what is going wrong?

                    now its runnig ! :-)

i have only made a dmg and push it to the client.

                    thats all. :-)

Sounds like what ever you compressed the mpkg with in the first place may have lost some of the file attributes. Did you make the zip file on a Mac or a PC?
