Best query for LANDesk Console versions?

    Apprentice

I just upgrades to 88sp2a, and have several 32-bit consoles in my environment.

How can I best upgrades the consoles so I can deploy the silent upgrade?

      patch manager autofix?

      query and deployment?

... what's wrong with using Patch Manager for detecting vulnerabilities?

We do provide patch content for the SP2 components...

Patch is preferred for me... Thanks... I just wanted to make sure it would upgrade the consoles.

            I do have a 2nd question however...

I wondered if installing the patch would also install the power management & launchpad pieces?

My agents are currently at sp1, and we have upgraded to sp2a.  I would like to be able to take advantage of the launchpad and power management features.

If you install SP2, you need to re-activate your Core-server.

Assuming you have a valid PMA (Maintenance Agreement), you will get Power Manager and Launchpad. If you do not have a valida PMA, you will not get Power Manager enabled, but should still get Launchpad.

              Does this answer the question?

If you have any doubts, just try it out in your lab.

NOTE -- you may want to wait potentially, if you're only now considering to move to SP2, you may as well want to wait a few weeks for SP3 to come out (should come out end of April / early May, depending on how smoothly things go).
