    Removing the OSD HTTP Service

    kpierre66 Rookie
A site server was installed with the OSD HTTP Service. With an OSD site server re-install it does not get rid of that service. As a result, we have to stop the service to get rid of the "This process cannot access the file being used by another application" when starting the default website.
How can we completely remove the OSD HTTP Service?

          hi,

the easiest way should be your appwiz I guess
the hardcore method could be deleting the service from the registry...

          cheers

I found in the list of services "OSD HTTP" make sure this service is stopped.  If it is started you'll receive the "This process cannot access the file being used by another application) when starting the default website.
You can also just re-install the OSD Proxy services at that site if you have an OSD Enterprise setup.  That's how the problem was solved.  However the OSD HTTP service is still listed in the registry.
