We created a database script that runs nightly and updates the users who have left our company. It marks them as soft deleted, updates their status and termination date. We use a view from our HR system as the input, and schedule the script to run during off hours. Because we process the termination requests through Service desk, we set our soft deletes to be effective two weeks after the termination date. This allows the IT teams to work and complete the request before the user is soft deleted in Service Desk

I'd love to have this too. What I don't want is to have to do some behind the curtain database fiddling.
