Add your Outlook.com account to another mail app - Outlook

However the email is not sent, The logs shows that it uses Port=25

There's a table called AlertEmail that has email alerting details. I believe it also has the smtp port, so you could try changing it there to 587 and then re-trying and seeing if that makes it through.

I would check myself but I don't have access to my Core right now. Someone else may be able to confirm.

Recursion I  already changed the Port (the picture on the original post is from that table) but still the Port is sent as 25 according to logs.

I also tried running this from a command line:

            "C:\Program Files\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\sendemail.exe" -d "C:\Program Files\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\alertstrings\\" -g "ENU" -p "ss=0" -p "alert_monid=204" -p "alert_edition=1" -p "alert_ostype=windows" -p "alert_osfamily=winnt" -p "alert_pds2id=D10xxxxxxCCB94" -p "alert_inventoryid={A5C50Axxxxxxx0CCB94}" -p "alert_host=LOCALTEST01.mydomain.local" -p "alert_state=2" -p "alert_localTime=2017-09-07 16:09:48.395" -p "alert_gmtTime=2017-09-07 23:09:48.395" -p "alert_instance=Print Spooler" -p "alert_id=internal.monitoring.software.services" -p "alert_ruleset=" -p "alert_health=4" -p "alert_remoteAddr=192.168.xx.xx" -p "alert_computeridn=1022" -p "alert_alertlogidn=9527" -- "server=smtp-mail.outlook.com" "port=587" "[email protected]" "[email protected]" "subject=TEST" "body=Test1" "[email protected]" "password=stdin" "nonExtended=1"

Somehow I completely missed that, my bad.

Is it doing this when the port is set to 0? (auto-negotiate). I assume so given your other table entry but figured I'd double check.

Also, does this occur when trying a different port? It won't send the email obviously, but we can see if the sendemail log still says it's using port 25.

After running the command line command, did the log reflect the correct port?

                Recursion

When the Port is set to 0 the logs show 25.

When I change the port in the database to 587, the log still shows port 25 (I triple checked that)

When running the command line nothing shows on the logs.

I tried it with an outlook and gmail, the alerts are triggered but no email is received.

This is the log from the first test port = 0 on both emails:

This is from the second test the port for the outlook account was changed to 587 on the table (notice that is still set to 25 on the logs):

                My sendmail.log only shows this:

                2017-09-08 15:30:10(8916-10180) sendemail.exe:sendemail started

                2017-09-08 15:30:10(12216-13132) sendemail.exe:sendemail started

                2017-09-08 15:30:10(12216-13132) sendemail.exe:SMTP Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com

                2017-09-08 15:30:10(8916-10180) sendemail.exe:SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
