We discovered on the install that if you copy the installer files to another directory on a file share you will run into an issue on install. The solution is to go to the main directory of the files and right click the directory and go to properties. Then go to security, advanced, click add, and the principle would be system. Give system fill rights to the folder and all subfolders and files. Check the Replace all child object permissions entries with the inheritable permission entries from this object and click apply. This should fix any installation issues. Hope this helps

I found the solution based in information from this article.
"Error reading from file" during installation
Posted by troyt on 2010-10-28 11:49Question:
When I try to run the MSI installer, I get a dialog with the message:
Error reading from file C:\Path\to\Some-installer.msi. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
This prevents me from installing the software. What's wrong?
The Windows "System" group needs to have access to the file. This problem often occurs when the msi file is saved to a folder without System group permissions and with "Inherit from parent" set.
To solve this, grant the System group Read & Execute permissions for the installer.
Also if you want to prevent this in the future, make sure any folder you have that you access on the server has System as a security object with full permissions and the permissions are inherited.
