    View vs. Edit Layouts - One Role?

      In our Knowledge system we allow all of IT to view KB articles. This is a simple read only layout with the Issue/Resolution and a few descriptive fields.


      We also allow all of IT to create/edit Draft KB articles. This layout has more fields and active selection boxes.


      Knowledge Managers proof and publish KB articles.


      Is there any way, without creating a Knowledge Editor role, to allow IT users to click a QA button and switch to the Editor layout? I wanted to avoid creating a role just for KB editing if possible.


      We might use something similar for our Server CI's.
