1. I'm able to create a service request using a custom template via the web service. However, the status is set to 'Submitted'. Is there a way to change the status when a service request is created via API?
2. Is there an ability to create a note for a service request that has been created using the web service api? I can retrieve a service request using the API and loop through the fields, but i don't see an ability to programmatically add a note. Can someone point me in the right direction?
You could make a second call to set the status to active or look at the workflow running behind the request offering as that would typically be where the status changes would be made.
In terms of adding a note you would need to add a record to the Journal#Note object with a parent link of the Service Request. Alternatively you could call ExecuteQuickAction method (Link to help) and call a quick action which will add a pre-defined note for you.
