have your database user dbowner rights on the database scheme?
I think this could be the problem!
but User is db_owner off schema
In log is Core E4TPRVLDMSK
System.Data.OleDb:oleDBExeption () CREATE TABLE permition denied in database 'LDS'
and other error with permition
Well - "permission denied" is pretty straight forward. Something in the SQL permissions for your user means you're lacking the relevant access rights.
So - you may want to have your DBA look at this (assuming you've got one)? As a reference, how things SHOULD be configured can be found here:
That article includes detailed views of how the user that you're using for the DB should be set up.
* Make sure that the user LANDesk is using is "db_owner" for the specific DB. This should give you any pemissions needed.
* Make sure all tables & views are owned by "dbo". This *CAN* be fixed if that's not the case (would need to dig up the relevant script).
Problem was on referencion integrity of database.
There was forin key in table where try upgrade delete rows but there was still row with id in upper table .
What is writen to log is information about permition but it was permition to delete row in table with forin key referenc integrity (This was not visible in Ivanta log)
Information was get from SQL profiler and tcp dump.
After was corupted row in upper table deleted, upgrade was proceed without any problem.
Yeah - the joys of some of SQL's error message. "Correct" (sort of) - but not necessarily helpful.
Glad to see you figured / traced it down. So it WAS a permissions issue, just slightly different to what we expected.
We can only pick up error messages as they're passed to us (and we pass them on back to you). Sometimes they're "correct but not super helpful" (such as in this case). SQL's at least vaguely helpful -- .NET can be a lot more mysterious .
