Injecting drivers to boot64.wim using Dism fails with an error

    MrGadget Expert

      I'm on Landesk 9.6 SP3

I have a new model Dell 5050 that boots to PXE but errors out with when going into Winpe. Research says I need to inject nic driver into Winpe.

However I have tried adding driver through Landesk, Manage drivers in Winpe, and it doesn't fix the problem. Now I'm trying to inject into bootx64.wim using Dism and it fails with a error. Googling the error leads me nowhere.

      Any suggestions?

Update: on further testing I see in the Dism log that it goes in to my mounted boot_x64.wim into the windows\system32 and pulls dism then fails. Dism is running under the current version 10.0.17025.1000 but the dism version in the boot_x64.wim is 10.0.14393.0 and I think that is the problem but don't know how to fix it.
