You're a funny, funny man, Paul Laufer.
(Sorry, sarcasm runs rampant in our family.)
Hahaahhhaaa! I laugh at myself every day. And as we all know, problems are only opportunities in work clothes.
I take it by your response though that you've looked into this and found that it's a tricky bit of surgery? I was thinking it might take a good bit of time to write the SQL... or create a GoldBox process. Have you tried it before?
I actually have NOT tried it NOR researched it. I simply paused and thought about it for a bit. Knowing the data structures, I realize how challenging it would be. Not rocket science, by any means, but would take a healthy amount of careful coding.
Further, I don't know of any existing "tools" that will take care of this for you. There could be such, I'm just not aware of them.
Yeah, I figured it would be along the lines of a "user name changer" script, or one of your very own "Data Integrity Check" scripts, etc.
Sounds like a good bit of work.
I'd imagine one could put together an all-purpose script that would accomplish it, given the recid of the two opportunities in variables. If I had to estimate it, I'd say and hour-or-two of solid work to put such a thing together and try it out a couple of times.
